Castle is a police procedural comedy-drama television series created by Andrew M. Marlowe and produced ABC Studios. This television series premiered on March 2009 is now on its second and renewed its contract for another season. Castle is filled with talented and brilliant actors and actresses who portrays their character fine enough to be watched by millions of viewers.
This comedy-drama show features Richard Castle played by actor Nathan Fillion who is a well-known mystery-murder novelist and killed off his most eminent main character Derek Storm. But then, a copycat murderer starts killing people as described in his books. Richard joins forces with NYPD detective Kate Beckett after the police crossed-examined him regarding the killings. Detective Beckett played by actress Stana Katic is an excellent investigator who joined the force and helped Castle after her mother was murdered but the case is unsolved. Castle and Beckett worked together to solve the mysteries in New York together with the other detectives.
Javier Esposito played by actor Jon Huertas is a homicide detective is also a part of team with his good friend Detective Kevin Ryan portrayed by Seamus Dever. Both Huerta and Ryan enjoys teasing Beckett but the are extremely protective of her. The two detectives (Jon and Seamus) are friends even if they frequently disagree about matters. Tamala Jones stars as Dr. Lanie Parish, one of the few people Kate can converse with without being uncomfortable because of her friendly outlook. Parish is a medical examiner who becomes aware of the personal link between Richard and Kate. Captain Roy Montgomery (Ruben Santiago-Hudson) is Beckett’s command officer who is pleased with her performance. Captain Montgomery like the strength of mind and thoroughness of Beckett and he pays attention by how much Castle and Becket work together as a team. Castle’s fifteen year old teenage daughter Alexis Castle is played by actress Molly Quinn, Alexis is a responsible and mature daughter. She loves studying and she is a very smart teenager. Most of her interpersonal issues are the same as of the case of Castle and Beckett. Alexis lives with her grandmother who is an actress on and off Broadway played by actress Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers. Rodgers helps Richard in raising his daughter Alexis who is more mature and responsible than him.
As they unlock every mystery in their cases, Richard finds inspiration from Kate and currently has the chance to make use of his knowledge and expertise in resolving murder.

Andrew W. Marlowe, creator of Castle series finally gave an explanation about the decision to get Castle and Beckett together on the finale episode of season 4. He said that the decision was purely out of consideration and concerns for fans. He explained that they had stretched the patience of fans way too far and even the crew was getting impatient and so they just had to do it. He further mentioned that the twist will even give the series an opportunity to shift focus on a different issue.
He said that they had compressed the story too much on Castle and Beckett not being in good terms hence having them back together would end the monotony. He also added that he would not wish to betray his fans by stretching their patience further in as far as the relationship of Castle and Beckett was concerned. He said that they had an agreement with the audience where they would give them great stories and they remain loyal to them and so if they betrayed their promise, it would not be good.
The episode finale of season 4 aired on May 7 and premiere date for season 5 is yet to be announced.
